About the Opportunity
Search are partnering with a well-established and growing organisation in Leeds that is seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to join their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified or studying accountant who is looking to build their experience within a supportive environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the month-end process, producing financial reports, and contributing to the organisation\\\’s ongoing financial development.
Responsibilities
- Supporting the preparation of monthly management accounts
- Assisting with balance sheet reconciliations
- Helping to deliver the month-end close, including accruals, prepayments, and journals
- Producing financial analysis and commentary to support decision-making
- Contributing to budgeting and forecasting processes
- Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation
- Working with internal teams to provide financial insight
- Involvement in process improvements and project work
Qualifications
- Part-qualified or currently studying ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent)
- Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset
- Confident Excel user; experience with accounting software is beneficial
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work to deadlines and collaborate effectively
- Proactive approach with willingness to learn and take ownership of tasks
