M&E Operative / Wireman - NG Person ESSENTIAL Location: Melksham, Wiltshire Rate: £30 per hour Contract: Temporary Hours: 50 hours per week Working Hours: 07:30-17:30 Position: 1 Start: ASAP Duration: Until 30/4/2027 Role Overview: We are currently looking for an experienced M&E Operative / Wireman to work on a major substation project in Melksham. The successful candidate will support electrical installation and M&E works within a substation environment, working alongside the wider site team to ensure works are completed safely and to the required standards. Key Responsibilities: Carry out electrical wiring and M&E installation activities on a substation project Work to drawings, specifications and site instructions Support the wider site team with installation and associated works Follow all relevant health, safety, quality and environmental procedures Work safely within a National Grid substation environment Complete allocated tasks within the required timescales Maintain high standards of workmanship Liaise with supervisors and other site personnel as requiredRequirements: NG Person Electrical Gold Card Previous National Grid substation experience Relevant accreditations required to work within National Grid substations Manual Handling Strong understanding of site health and safety requirements Previous experience as a Wireman / M&E Operative within a substation environmentTo apply, please send your CV along with details of your current tickets, electrical qualifications and relevant National Grid substation experience.
