Search Consultancy is looking for skilled Joiners to assist with heavy-duty timber fabrication on a specialist industrial project in Middlesbrough. We are partnering with an established manufacturing contractor that produces custom, high-durability wooden crates used for transporting heavy aerospace components and aircraft parts globally.

If you are a Joiner with strong bench or structural timber skills who enjoys off-site or workshop-style construction, this is an excellent opportunity to secure steady work with no CSCS card required.

The Role

  • Timber Fabrication: Building, assembling, and reinforcing large-scale, heavy-duty timber crates and transit frames according to specific dimension requirements.
  • Assembly & Structural Integrity: Working with heavy timber sections, plywood panels, framing tools, and fixings to construct rigid, load-bearing transport boxes.
  • Precision Measurements: Reading structural specs or working to templates to ensure every crate meets strict aerospace component tolerances and transit safety standards.
  • Tool Operation: Safe and efficient use of hand tools, nail guns, circular saws, and power tools in a workshop/manufacturing setting.

Requirements

  • CSCS Card: Not required (off-site/workshop-based setting).
  • Experience: Proven track record in bench joinery, timber framing, shuttering, or heavy timber packaging/crate assembly.
  • Tools & PPE: Standard hand tools/drill set and standard safety boots.
  • Work Ethic: Reliable, efficient, and able to work accurately to keep pace with manufacturing schedules.
  • Right to Work: Must have a valid right to work in the UK.
