Environmental and Sustainability Lead Permanent Oldham Competitive Salary Day shifts Monday to Friday
Search Recruitment are currently working with an International family run manufacturing company based in Oldham who are on the lookout for a an environmental and sustainability lead to join them in their exiting period of growth. This a permanent position for the right candidate. As the Sustainability & Environmental Lead you own environmental compliance and oversee the site's wider sustainability agenda.
What you'll be doing
Track and report carbon emissions across Scope 1, 2 and 3, maintaining accurate, current data and reports. Own and deliver the sustainability roadmap, including external sustainability ratings, evidence gathering and responses. Lead environmental improvement projects across plant and process that support ISO 14001 and environmental performance. Manage environmental permits, consents and licences, and act as environmental compliance contact for cross-functional work such as packaging. Coordinate environmental, social and governance activities with other departments, including supplier engagement, customer questionnaires and due diligence. Monitor sustainability and environmental legislation such as SECR, CSRD and EPR, prepare reports for management and support audits including EN9100/ISO 14001.The successful candidate must:
