Maintenance Engineer Location: Birkhill - Lesmahagow Salary: £40,786 + Overtime Hours: Monday-Thursday, 2pm-12am Are you a hands-on Maintenance Engineer with strong mechanical skills and experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment? We're looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our Birkhill site, keeping plant and equipment running safely, reliably and efficiently. What You'll Be Doing You'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of industrial plant and equipment. Key responsibilities include: Carrying out planned, corrective and preventative maintenance across site Diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs and responding to breakdowns to minimise production downtime Maintaining heavy industrial equipment including screw conveyors, elevators, rotating machinery and compressor systems Working with steam boilers and pressure systems, carrying out inspections and maintenance as required Identifying equipment issues and completing both temporary and permanent repairs to maintain reliable production Completing routine maintenance, inspections, verification measurements and accurate maintenance records Working safely and maintaining high standards across Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental requirements Supporting the wider Operations team, plant reliability improvements and participating in the 24/7 on-call rota when requiredWhat You'll Get Opportunity for regular overtime paid at enhanced rates Monday-Thursday working pattern, 2pm-12am Company Pension Scheme (salary sacrifice) Annual leave of 30 days including public holidays Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) Employee Referral Scheme Cycle to Work Scheme Value Awards A varied, hands-on engineering role working on heavy industrial plant and machineryWhat We're Looking For HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering Previous experience working as a Maintenance Engineer Strong experience within an industrial or manufacturing environment Hands-on mechanical maintenance and repair experience Strong mechanical fault-finding and problem-solving skills Willingness and availability to provide 24-hour/7-day on-call cover for breakdowns and emergencies when requiredIf you're a hands-on Mechanical Maintenance Engineer this is an opportunity to join a busy industrial operation where your engineering skills will have a direct impact.
