TUNNELLING SITE MANAGER - NIGHTS Midlands Night Shift £400+ PER SHIFT Digs Provided Immediate Start Available We are currently looking for an experienced Tunnelling Site Manager to join a major underground construction project in the Midlands, working on a night shift basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced tunnelling professional looking for an immediate start, offering £400+ per shift, accommodation provided and an enhanced rate for night work. The Role As Night Shift Site Manager, you will be responsible for: Managing and coordinating all night-shift tunnelling activities. Leading site supervisors, engineers, operatives and subcontractors. Ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with the project programme. Monitoring production, progress and productivity against shift targets. Coordinating plant, equipment, materials and labour requirements. Ensuring compliance with RAMS, permits, site procedures and relevant tunnelling regulations. Conducting site inspections, toolbox talks and shift briefings. Managing shift handovers and communicating progress and issues to the day team and senior management. Identifying and resolving operational issues and coordinating corrective actions. Maintaining high standards of quality and workmanship. Managing incidents, emergencies and site issues during the night shift. Completing accurate shift reports, records and production documentation. Working closely with the Project Manager, Construction Manager, Engineers and client representatives. About You We are looking for someone with: Proven experience as a Site Manager, Shift Manager or Tunnelling Manager within underground construction. Strong experience working on tunnelling, shafts, underground construction or major civil engineering projects. Previous experience managing night shifts and large site teams. Strong understanding of tunnelling methods, construction processes and underground working environments. Excellent knowledge of health & safety, RAMS and site compliance. Proven ability to manage production, resources and programme targets. Strong leadership and communication skills. Ability to make sound decisions and resolve issues in a challenging underground environment. Relevant CSCS / SMSTS / TSTS or equivalent management qualifications. Previous tunnelling or underground construction experience is essential.
