The Opportunity:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a leading Tier 1 main contractor on a range of high-profile construction projects based in and around Inverness and the wider Scottish Highlands.

The Role:
As Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the commercial management and successful delivery of construction projects, working closely with the wider operational and commercial teams.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing the commercial aspects of construction projects from procurement through to final account.
- Preparing and managing project budgets, forecasts and cost reports.
- Subcontractor procurement, negotiation and account management.
- Managing valuations, variations and change control.
- Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities.
- Ensuring contractual compliance and effective cost control.
- Working closely with project managers, site teams and senior commercial management.
- Supporting the preparation and agreement of final accounts.
About You:
- We are keen to speak with Quantity Surveyors who have:
- Experience working within the construction industry, ideally with a main contractor.
- A good understanding of construction contracts and commercial processes.
- Experience managing subcontractor packages and project costs.
- Strong negotiation, communication and organisational skills.
- The ability to work independently while contributing to a wider project team.
- A proactive and commercially focused approach.
- Candidates with experience working for a Tier 1 or established main contractor will be particularly attractive.
