As General Manager, you will head up a high-energy, student-led bar in central Edinburgh, running busy night shifts predominantly and keeping service sharp and consistent. You'll take ownership of all operations, from social media to suppliers, leading from the front.
Offer details:
- The successful General Manager's £50k+ package includes £40-45k salary, 40% bonus potential based on KPI & approx £4k in tips annually.
The GM role itself:
- Running day-to-day bar operations during busy shifts with a visible, hands-on presence.
- Leading and motivating the bar team, setting the standard for service and atmosphere.
- Managing rotas, planning staffing levels and supporting recruitment and on-boarding.
- Keeping on top of stock, ordering and cost control to protect margins.
- Coaching and training team members to build skills and deliver consistent guest experience.
- Working with all on promotions and ideas to grow trade.
You, the General Manager:
- Will come from experience in a senior bar or hospitality management post, in a fast-paced, night setting environment preferably student led.
- A natural, confident leader who is happy to be on the floor with the team.
- Strong organisational skills with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
- Solid understanding of rota planning, stock control and day-to-day bar controls.
- A passion for nightlife, music and drink-led venues.
- Resilience and a positive mindset when working late nights and weekends.
- Personal Licences Holder.
