General Operative Agency: Search Consultancy Location: Galashiels (TD1) Search Consultancy is looking for a hard-working, reliable General Operative to join a busy site in Galashiels (TD1). We are partnering with an established regional contractor requiring a dependable site operative to assist with daily site setup, material handling, trade support, and general site duties. If you are a punctual operative with a strong work ethic who takes pride in keeping a site safe and running smoothly, we have immediate starts available now. The Role Site Welfare & Maintenance: Maintaining site cleanliness, clearing debris, sorting materials, keeping access routes safe, and managing waste disposal areas. Material Logistics: Offloading deliveries, loading out tools and materials, and distributing supplies to sub-contractors and site trades. Trade Support: Assisting skilled operatives and site management with general construction, civils, and site preparation tasks. Site Safety: Following site RAMS, wearing full PPE, and maintaining strict safety standards across all site activities. Requirements CSCS Card: A valid CSCS Card (Green Operative Card) is mandatory. PPE: Full standard 5-point PPE (Hard Hat, High-Vis Vest/Jacket, Steel-Toe Boots, Gloves, and Safety Glasses). Work Ethic: Punctual, physically fit, reliable, and capable of working effectively as part of a busy site team.
