Concrete Repairer Agency: Search Consultancy Location: Galashiels (TD1) Search Consultancy is looking for an experienced Concrete Repairer to join an active civil engineering project in Galashiels (TD1). We are partnering with an established main contractor requiring a skilled operative to carry out structural concrete repairs, surface preparation, and protective hand-applied renders across a key regional site. If you are a Concrete Repairer who takes pride in thorough surface preparation, precise material application, and delivering durable structural finishes, we have immediate starts available now. The Role Surface Preparation: Breaking out spalled, damaged, or carbonated concrete back to sound substrate using light breakers, scabblers, and needle guns. Steel Priming & Treatment: Exposing reinforcing steel bars (rebar), cleaning away corrosion, and applying anti-corrosion protective coatings. Structural Repair Application: Hand-applying polymer-modified repair mortars, fairing coats, and structural render materials to exact profile lines. Curing & Coatings: Applying curing compounds, fairing coats, and protective anti-carbonation coatings to ensure long-term durability. Site Safety: Adhering strictly to site RAMS, dust suppression protocols, and safe working practices at all times. Requirements CSCS Card: A valid CSCS Card (Skilled Worker / Concrete Operative) is mandatory. Experience: Proven track record in structural concrete repair, mortar application, and surface preparation on civil engineering or building developments. Tools & PPE: Full standard 5-point PPE and basic hand tools. Reliability: Self-motivated, punctual, and capable of delivering neat, high-quality finishes.
