The Role

  • Installation of fibre cables on customer properties by pulling/blowing cables through underground networks from cabinets or chambers.
  • Soft excavation works through gardens and clearing blockages where required.
  • Liaise with customers to agree routing before starting any work and ensure a positive experience throughout.
  • Work on the overhead network when needed and complete internal cab, including fitting customer equipment.
  • Test all installed equipment, confirm full functionality, and guide customers on how to use their new service.
  • Work in pairs in the field and report to the field supervisor or installation lead.

We're Looking For

  • Strong customer service and communication skills, with confidence working in customer homes.
  • Comfortable working at height and carrying out manual labour tasks.
  • A full UK driving licence is essential for this field-based role.
  • Ability to follow safe working practices, including disclosure checks as part of the selection process.
  • Previous fibre or telecoms experience is welcome, but full training is provided.
