Search are working with their client in Inverurie, who are looking for a reliable and hardworking Factory Saw Operator to join their team!

Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 07:00 - 17:00

Pay Rate: £16+ p/h DOE

Contract: Temporary - long-term opportunities available, with potential for the right candidate

Starting: ASAP

What you will be doing:

  • Operating crosscut and CNC saws within a busy timber frame workshop.
  • Reading and interpreting cutting lists and production drawings accurately.
  • Ensuring timber is cut accurately and to the required specifications.
  • Using a range of woodworking machinery, including band saws, rip saws and planers.
  • Carrying out quality checks on timber and finished cuts.
  • Working efficiently to meet production requirements and deadlines.
  • Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe working environment.
  • Following all company health and safety procedures and wearing the required PPE.
  • Working as part of a team to ensure production targets are achieved.

Requirements:

  • Time-served CNC Machinist or a minimum of 3 years' experience working in a timber frame workshop operating crosscut or CNC saws.
  • Ability to read and accurately interpret cutting lists and production drawings.
  • Skilled and proficient in the use of other woodworking machinery, including band saws, rip saws and planers.
  • Good attention to detail and a strong focus on quality.
  • Comfortable working in a physically demanding, fast-paced factory environment.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Holds a current driving licence and has their own transport to get to and from work.
