SECURITY-CLEARED CONSTRUCTION OPERATIVES **MoJ / HMP Prisons - North of England** **Multiple Operatives Required | Immediate & Ongoing Work | Accommodation Available** We are currently recruiting experienced **Construction & Maintenance Operatives** to work on refurbishment and facilities projects across **Ministry of Justice (MoJ) prison sites throughout the North of England**. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced tradespeople and multi-skilled operatives who already hold the required **security clearance** and are available for work away from home. ### 🔐 SECURITY CLEARANCE IS ESSENTIAL Candidates must hold one of the following: * **Counter Terrorist Check (CTC) clearance** * **EL1 clearance** * **EL2 clearance** Candidates without the required clearance may not be eligible for these assignments. ### THE WORK Projects will vary from prison to prison and may include: * Installation of **external window grilles / security grates** * Working from **scissor lifts and cherry pickers** * Refurbishment and conversion of offices back into **cells** * Painting and decorating * Flooring installation * General building refurbishment * Facilities refurbishment * General maintenance and repair * Making good and remedial works * Assisting specialist trades * General construction and facilities maintenance duties We are particularly interested in candidates with experience across **general building, refurbishment, maintenance, painting, flooring, carpentry/joinery and multi-skilled construction work**. ### WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR * Previous construction, refurbishment or facilities maintenance experience * Relevant trade skills / qualifications where applicable * Experience working safely on active construction sites * Ability to work within strict security and site procedures * Valid CSCS / relevant trade certification where required * IPAF / MEWP experience would be advantageous * Reliable, professional and safety-conscious approach * **Valid CTC, EL1 or EL2 clearance - essential** ### WHAT'S ON OFFER ✅ MoJ / HMP prison projects ✅ Ongoing work across the North of England ✅ Multiple sites and projects available ✅ Accommodation can be provided for suitable candidates travelling from outside the area ✅ Opportunities for experienced operatives across multiple trades ✅ Potential for further assignments as projects progress ### LOCATIONS Opportunities are available across **the North of England**, with exact prison locations and project details discussed during registration. ### INTERESTED?
