Maintenance Team Lead Location: Lesmahagow Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per year Hours: Monday to Friday - 08:00 - 17:00 Are you an experienced maintenance professional with strong leadership and project management experience? We're hiring a Maintenance Supervisor to take ownership of the maintenance and engineering function at our Birkhill site. This is a hands-on leadership role, managing a team of 4 while coordinating external contractors and driving maintenance, reliability and improvement across the site. What You'll Be Doing You'll be responsible for ensuring the site's plant, equipment and facilities are maintained safely, efficiently and reliably. Key responsibilities include: Leading and developing a team of 4 maintenance engineers Managing and coordinating on-site contractors and external engineering providers Planning and overseeing planned and reactive maintenance Managing and improving the site's PPM programme Leading engineering projects, including equipment installations, upgrades and site improvements Investigating breakdowns and implementing corrective actions to improve reliability Monitoring equipment performance and reducing unplanned downtime Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety and statutory requirements Managing maintenance costs, contractors, spare parts and engineering purchasing Working closely with Production, Planning, Quality, HSE, Procurement and Group Engineering Driving continuous improvement across the maintenance function Monitoring key maintenance KPIs including downtime and equipment reliabilityWhat You'll Get Competitive salary of £45,000 - £50,000 Monday to Friday working - 08:00 - 17:00 Leadership responsibility for a team of 4 Opportunity to manage and deliver engineering projects A varied role combining hands-on engineering, leadership and project management Opportunity to make a direct impact on plant reliability and site performance The opportunity to develop maintenance strategies and drive continuous improvementWhat We're Looking For HNC or HND in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent qualification Previous experience within industrial or manufacturing maintenance environment Proven experience in team management and leadership Previous project management experience Experience managing external contractors and engineering service providers Strong knowledge of preventative maintenance and engineering best practice Strong electrical and/or mechanical fault-finding and problem-solving skills Good understanding of Health & Safety and statutory engineering requirementsIf you're an experienced maintenance professional looking for your next leadership opportunity, apply today and take the next step in your career!
