Assistant Accountant A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Accountant to join a business based in Leeds on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is a varied role offering exposure across a broad finance function, supporting the day-to-day accounting activities and helping to ensure accurate financial reporting. Key Responsibilities Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts Post journals, accruals and prepayments Carry out balance sheet reconciliations Support month-end and year-end processes Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities Produce financial reports and analysis for stakeholders Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities when required Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with internal procedures Investigate and resolve account discrepancies Support process improvements across the finance function About You Previous experience in an Assistant Accountant or similar finance position Good understanding of core accounting principles Experience with month-end processes and reconciliations Strong Excel skills and familiarity with finance systems Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to work What's on Offer Salary up to £35,000 depending on experience 12-month fixed-term contract Supportive and collaborative team environment Opportunity to gain valuable exposure across a varied finance function Excellent benefits packageIf you're looking for your next opportunity, please apply today to learn more details!
