Beauty Account Manager
Salary: up to Β£34,000 (DOE)
Location: Wakefield
Hours: Full-time, permanent position
Our client is one of the UK\βs leading online retailers of cosmeceutical skincare, they are proud to offer a bespoke service built on expert knowledge, high quality brands, and exceptional customer care. They are now seeking a proactive and commercially minded Beauty Account Manager to join their Brand Management team. Reporting to the Head of Brand Relations, you will be responsible for managing relationships with our existing brands, on boarding new partners, and supporting the continued growth of their product portfolio.
The Key Responsibilities of the Beauty Account Manager:
- Act as the primary link between the business and your allocated brands, building strong, collaborative relationships
- Manage brand expectations, working closely with content, e-commerce, and purchasing teams to ensure smooth execution of brand plans
- Support the creation and delivery of the brand strategy in alignment with wider business goals
- Lead brand specific growth plans, presenting proposals and working collaboratively with brand partners to deliver objectives
- Work with the Purchasing Manager to support stock ordering, ensuring accuracy, timely delivery, and alignment with brand promotions and minimum order requirements
- Identify opportunities to work with affiliates and influencers to maximise brand exposure
- Conduct brand analysis, evaluating demand, visibility, performance, and competitor activity to identify new opportunities
- Review and negotiate commercial terms for existing brands to maximise profit and marketing support
- Identify and engage with new brands, leading negotiations on margin, marketing activity, exclusivity, and brand requirements
- Monitor competitor activity and market trends, identifying opportunities to differentiate our offer
- Report monthly on brand performance, including sales growth/decline, engagement, demand, and strategic recommendations
- Lead the on boarding process for new brands to ensure a successful launch
- Coordinate new product launches by organising descriptions, imagery, marketing assets, and logistical requirements
- Support the development and management of our box strategy, including Edit Boxes, multi-brand GWPs, and customer acquisition initiatives
The Key Requirements of the Beauty Account Manager:
Essential:
- Degree or equivalent professional experience
- Experience managing external supplier or brand relationships
- Proven ability to create, implement, and manage brand plans
- Experience in retail (ideally health and beauty)
- Strong negotiation skills, including commercial terms and promotional strategy
- Ability to build mutually beneficial partnerships and drive sales growth
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to interpret data and take informed action
- Excellent communication and writing skills
- Project management skills with experience managing multiple stakeholders
- Ability to develop creative ideas and problem solve effectively
- Proactive, adaptable, and able to work in a fast paced environment
- Ability to represent and confidently promote the brand
- Flexible approach to work, including occasional evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
Desirable:
- Experience within the cosmeceutical or beauty industry
- Highly motivated with strong initiative and creativity
- Ability to work effectively under pressure
- Understanding of market trends and buying motivators within cosmeceutical skincare
- Passion for beauty and skincare, with an interest in staying updated on industry developments
