Role details Permanent role based in Aberdeenshire, mainly in Aberdeen with travel across the region as required. £34,000-£37,000 per year with a company van and fuel, working Monday to Friday, 8:00am-16:30pm. The role As the Painter, you support domestic reactive maintenance across a housing portfolio, working mainly in occupied properties. You focus on painting works for refitted kitchens and bathrooms and on treating damp and mould as part of wider maintenance jobs. The organisation needs an experienced domestic maintenance painter to keep up with demand and maintain service quality for tenants. What you'll be doing - Deliver internal painting and decorating in occupied domestic properties as part of reactive maintenance. - Paint and finish refitted kitchens and bathrooms to a consistent, high standard. - Treat damp and mould on walls and ceilings using agreed methods and training. - Travel between properties across Aberdeenshire using the company van to attend jobs. - Protect surfaces, work safely and respectfully in tenants' homes, and leave areas clean and tidy. - Update the team leader on job progress and issues, providing basic records where needed. What we're looking for - Recognised painting apprenticeship completed. - Full driving licence (essential). - Strong experience in domestic maintenance work in occupied properties. - Practical experience of damp and mould treatment. - Background in reactive maintenance rather than purely commercial projects. - CSCS card and specific damp and mould training (both preferred). Benefits - £34,000-£37,000 per year, depending on experience. - Company van and fuel. - 26 days' holiday plus bank holidays. - 10% pension.
