Warehouse Manager - Art, Prints & Luxury Goods
Location: South East London (on site)
Salary: Β£50,000-Β£55,000 + benefits
Contract: Permanent, full time, Monday to Friday 9am-6pm
Fancy running a warehouse where the stock on your shelves includes original artwork and limited-edition prints from some of the biggest names in contemporary art?
I'm working with a fast-growing art-tech business that partners with world-renowned artists and estates to bring their work to a global audience. Prints, physical artworks, books, merchandise - it all moves through their South East London warehouse, and they now need an experienced Warehouse Manager to take ownership of it.
This is a proper leadership role. You'll run the operation day to day, lead and develop the team, and make sure every high-value (and often irreplaceable) item is received, stored, packed and dispatched with real care. When a big product launch lands, you'll be the one who has planned for it.
What you'll be doing
- Running the whole warehouse operation: goods in, storage, picking, packing and dispatch for both customer and wholesale orders
- Leading, training and motivating the warehouse team, including rotas, performance and development
- Owning the WMS and making sure stock records are accurate and processes are followed
- Managing stock control, cycle counts and reconciliations, and getting to the bottom of discrepancies
- Setting the standard for how high-value and fragile pieces are handled, packed and stored
- Taking overall responsibility for warehouse health and safety, including risk assessments and training
- Managing couriers, carriers and suppliers on service levels and cost
- Planning capacity ahead of launches and peak periods, and keeping on top of packaging, consumables and budgets
- Reporting on KPIs such as order accuracy, dispatch times and stock levels
- Spotting where things could run better and making it happen
What you'll bring
- At least 3 years in warehouse management or a senior supervisory role
- A track record of leading and developing a warehouse team
- Strong working knowledge of WMS and inventory control best practice
- Solid, practical health and safety knowledge in a warehouse setting
- A systematic, process-driven approach and a real eye for detail
- Comfort using data and KPIs to make decisions
- The ability to stay calm and organised when volumes peak
- Good communication skills and the confidence to work with people at every level
- Experience in art, fashion, luxury or e-commerce, or of handling high-value or fragile goods, would be a real advantage, but isn't essential. A clear basic DBS check will be required.
Why apply?
- Lead the warehouse for an ambitious business that is genuinely changing how people access art
- Handle products you won't find in any other warehouse job
- Real ownership, with the backing of senior operations leadership
- Scope to shape processes and grow the operation as the business scales
You're a hands-on warehouse leader who takes pride in getting the detail right, I'd love to hear from you.
