A product fails. A component changes. A supplier issue threatens production. You are the Engineer who works out why - and what happens next.

We are recruiting exclusively for an established international organisation seeking a practical, commercially aware Engineer to support and improve an established product range. This is not a pure design role. You will investigate technical problems, test solutions, manage changes and work across engineering, quality, manufacturing and supply chain to keep products performing.

The role:

  • Investigate product, component and manufacturing issues through to resolution
  • Plan and carry out engineering tests, then interpret and document the results
  • Support product changes, improvements and corrective actions
  • Review drawings, specifications and technical documentation, using CAD when required
  • Work with internal teams and external suppliers in the UK and internationally
  • Take ownership of technical actions and keep projects moving

You must have:

  • Professional engineering experience in a product, manufacturing or similarly technical environment
  • At least a degree level qualification in a relevant Mechanical Engineering discipline
  • Strong fault-finding, testing and analytical skills
  • Confidence interpreting engineering drawings, specifications and technical data
  • Some CAD experience and the practical judgement to know when a design change is needed
  • A structured, proactive approach with the confidence to question, investigate and take ownership
  • Experience in a highly regulated, quality-led industry
  • The Right to Work in the UK permanently without sponsorship

What is on offer:

  • £35,000 - £50,000, depending on experience
  • Generous benefits package
  • Hybrid working with regular time at the Kent office (you must live in Kent or be happy to relocate)
  • Varied work across problem-solving, testing, product improvement and technical projects
  • International exposure within a specialist team backed by a larger global organisation

Scope to take on greater technical ownership as your experience develops. This opportunity can flex around your level. A capable Engineer can grow into broader responsibility, while a more experienced hire can lead complex projects and technical decisions from the outset.

Please note: this is not a graduate role. Applicants must have unrestricted UK working rights, a full UK driving licence and their own transport. Sponsorship is not available.
