Search 5.0 is delighted to partner with a fast-growing product company committed to delivering innovative solutions for a Product focused software engineer to join their team. Our client is transforming how businesses handle their operations with a one-stop platform that creates operational efficiency powered by AI. This neat product has already resulted in huge savings and accelerated growth across retail and hospitality and with a series A behind them there’s no signs of slowing down.

We are seeking someone on the cusp of Senior within the small but mighty inventory team. You will be someone who has experience owning, implementing and delivering medium sized features within a squad and has confidence working on a backlog of configuration tickets and finding the root cause. With 5-6 years’ experience behind you you’re now wanting to stretch yourself taking the lead on larger backlog items end to end. This product is relatively young and it’s important to work closely with users to move forward.

Reporting to an Engineering Manager your experience:

  • Plan, build and ship new, high impact features to make Inventory smarter, more powerful and ergonomic for our users. There’s some fun problems to be solved.
  • Rapidly iterate on the product to meet needs of new and soon-to-be customers.
  • Evolve the data model to support increasingly complex needs. Data is at the heart of this product. It’s highly complex and important to get data technologies, structures and patterns right.
  • Help build self-serve functionality for users and create tools for the customer success team.

What we’re seeking in successful candidates?

  • Ideally 5-6 years of full-stack engineering experience in a strong product environment.
  • Expertise in multiple software languages. Desired would be TypeScript, Ruby, Node.JS, React or Python.
  • Experience with cloud-based solutions and microservices architecture, AWS experience ideal but open to GCP / Azure.
  • Showcase evidence of owning a feature from start to finish.
  • Can handle ambiguity and the aptitude to work on a complex product.
  • Demonstrate adaptability & great organizational skills.
  • Demonstrate a good level of emotional intelligence. This is a people-first business.

Unfortunately, this role doesn’t provide sponsorship.
