Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in Glasgow for a Purchasing Officer. The Purchasing Officer will manage purchasing processes, handle purchase requisitions and orders, and assist in contract negotiations. The responsibilities will also include analyzing purchasing data, ensuring compliance with company policies, and maintaining relationships with suppliers to achieve cost efficiencies and timely procurement of goods and services.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge and experience in Purchasing Processes, Purchase Orders, and Purchase Requisitions
- Competence in Contract Negotiation for favorable terms and agreements
- Excellent Analytical Skills for evaluating supplier performance and cost-saving opportunities
- Proficiency in organizational and communication skills to manage procurement documentation and vendor relationships
- Detail-oriented mindset and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred
