As part of our ship management team, the Marine Personnel Officer plays an essential role in supporting our seafarers and ensuring the effective operation of our fleet. This position is the main point of contact for our seafarers; managing appointments to vessels, overseeing certification compliance, and providing direct support both during and outside office hours when required. The role combines coordination, accuracy, and genuine engagement with the people who keep our ships running safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities:- You will manage crew changes, travel logistics, documentation, and certification checks, working closely with ship teams and regional manning agencies to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Maintain up-to-date crew records, coordinate payroll information, and assist with budgeting and recruitment.
- Manage communications related to retirements and resignations, support crew welfare and repatriation, and participate in emergency response and seafarer engagement activities.
You bring sound experience within the shipping industry and a solid understanding of crew management, vessel operations, and certification compliance. You are someone who manages competing priorities with composure and professionalism, ensuring that every detail is handled accurately and on time.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as you will be collaborating with seafarers, colleagues, and external partners across regions. You are confident working with digital tools (including Microsoft Office and crew management systems) and you take pride in delivering a high standard of service and support.
