Here at Sealey we have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced, friendly and conscientious HR Assistant to join a small, dedicated team based at our head office in Bury St Edmunds , Suffolk . Reporting to the Head of HR, the successful candidate for the role of HR Assistant will be exposed to all areas of the HR and Payroll function. Responsibilities as our HR Assistant will include but are not limited to: Producing employee correspondence in respect of job offers, reference requests, contract addendums, acceptance of resignation letters. Responsible for the recruitment and selection process, including advertising vacancies in-house and online, arranging and preparing for interviews and conducting interviews with recruiting department manager/supervisor when appropriate or required. Assisting with new starter inductions. Be responsible for the maintenance of Company T&A/self-service system, answering queries about the management and self-service portals. Producing reports from the T&A and HR systems as and when required. Maintaining and updating employee records and the HR administration system. Respond to general enquiries into the HR department, via email, telephone and in person, where necessary referring to the Head of HR. What we’re looking for in our HR Assistant: The ideal candidate for our HR Assistant role will have experience of HR administration within a corporate environment and will already have a CIPD level 3 qualification. You will also need: The ability to deal with sensitive information with discretion and to maintain confidentiality. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. To be meticulous with detail and have a proven ability to operate to deadlines and deal with conflicting priorities in an effective manner. Organised, with the ability to multi-task and reprioritise throughout the day. To work well under pressure and able to work successfully in a fast-paced environment. The ability to act on your own initiative and make decisions when required. To be resilient and empathetic. To be approachable with the ability to build and sustain relationships at all levels. A sound knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and experience of working with web-based HR systems.
