Here at Sealey, we are seeking a highly capable IT Support Technician, based on site at our Bury St Edmunds offices, to help deliver secure, reliable, and modern IT services across a cloud first but hybrid environment. This role provides support to approximately 400 staff across the organisation. You will play a key role in supporting and developing our technology landscape, with a strong emphasis on Microsoft Intune, Microsoft 365, Azure services, and industry standard cyber security tools, while also supporting our remaining on premises Windows Server infrastructure. Responsibilities as our IT Support Technician will include:
- Cloud & Device Management
- Administer and optimise Microsoft Intune, including profiles, compliance, baselines, and application deployment.
- Manage full device lifecycle with Autopilot and support MDM for mobiles/tablets.
- Maintain approved applications deployed via Intune, RMM tools, and Microsoft 365.
- Infrastructure & Cloud Services
- Support hybrid infrastructure across Azure IaaS and on prem Windows Server.
- Manage core services: Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, AD, and RSAT.
- Assist with infrastructure modernisation, cloud migration, and upgrades.
- Cyber Security & Risk Management
- Support cyber operations using Microsoft 365 Defender and Mimecast.
- Enforce compliance, support Zero Trust principles, and maintain security documentation.
- Promote cyber awareness and best practice across the organisation.
- User Support
- Deliver high quality, customer focused BAU support through ITSM processes.
- Provide clear communication, support cloud service adoption, and maintain user documentation.
- Networking
- Assist with deployment and maintenance of firewalls, switches, wireless solutions, and secure remote access.
- Contribute to improving network performance, resilience, and security.
What we’re looking for in our IT Support Technician:
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Intune (device management, compliance, security baselines, Autopilot, app deployment).
- Good understanding of Entra ID / Azure Active Directory, Conditional Access, identity governance, and cloud authentication.
- Experience supporting Windows 11 in a modern, cloud managed environment.
- Familiarity with Azure IaaS principles: VMs, storage, networking, monitoring.
- Hands on experience with Windows Server (2012+), including Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, and RSAT tools.
- Experience using cyber security tools such as Microsoft 365 Defender and Mimecast.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals including VLANs, firewalls, routing, and wireless systems.
- Experience supporting Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive).
- Ability to create accurate documentation, diagrams, and configuration guides.
