Job Description: To ensure the timely flow of materials/supplies to and from the extrusion & bag making lines. Key activities are related to safety, housekeeping, KPI compliance and support to other departments. Working days and nights on a rostered shift system, the successful applicant will have a counterbalance truck license and be able to carry out movement transactions on a computer terminal.
Key Responsibilities- Process Controls & Operations: Ensure all activities are covered. Cover other colleagues' work as and when required. Support the review of operational issues and come forward with solutions. Support other departments by completing any reasonable tasks as and when required as long as training has been provided.
- Quality Health and Safety: Ensure that the H&S procedures are followed by all personnel and visitors to the site. Ensuring best and safe practices are followed for activities such as picking, wrapping material, warehousing, emptying bins. Maintain high level of housekeeping throughout the plant (tractor bay, warehouse, baler/compactor area, Goods In). Ensure we take extra care and follow H&S brief. Ensure equipment is operational and relevant checks are made and maintained. When problems arise, report it to the Logistics Leading hands. Ensure that all equipment i.e. IT hardware, MHE, Racking are in working order. Perform regular checks. Take part in updating SOP, Risk Assessment.
- Communication / Interaction: Providing feedback on operational/admin issues/continuous improvement matters to the Team Logistics Leader and/or Group Logistics Leader. Promote harmonious and effective working relationships with other departments. Attend Focus 5 meeting for brief/de-brief. Attend training sessions.
