Seaham Veterinary Centre is an Independent Practice dedicated to providing comprehensive care for pets across the North East. From routine vaccinations to advanced surgeries, we have a strong focus on Wellness Care and our team is wholeheartedly committed to ensuring the well-being of all our patients. We perform laparoscopic, orthopedic and advanced soft tissue surgeries on-site. We are a forward thinking company, hold regular team wellness breakfasts and believe in supporting all our team members in their areas of interest, whilst ensuring a great work-life balance.
Due to one of our vets moving into Referral Practice, we have a full-time, on-site role based in Seaham for a Veterinary Surgeon. The role involves providing high-quality medical and surgical care to a variety of animals, diagnosing and treating illnesses, performing routine and emergency surgical procedures, and working closely with pet owners to ensure the best care for their animals. The Veterinary Surgeon will also collaborate with a skilled team to ensure the smooth operation of the practice and to deliver exceptional pet care.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Veterinary Medicine, including diagnosing and managing a range of medical conditions in animals
- Competence in Diagnostic Skills, including diagnosing and interpreting test results
- Competence in routine surgeries
- Excellent communication skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and the veterinary team
- RCVS (Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons) registration
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated on veterinary advancements
