About our group: As a part of the Springtown Process Engineering Group, the Integration Team works to deliver new technologies and products for qualification and volume ramp at the Springtown wafer facility. As we continue the transition to the next generations of recording head technology, we require a dynamic, self-starting science/engineering professional for a challenging lead role within the team.

About the role - you will:

  • Reporting to the Integration Manager, you will join the Integration Team and lead the integration of next generation heat-assisted magnetic recording (HAMR) read/write heads into volume manufacturing.
  • Primary responsibility for HAMR modules (process blocks), with the goal of delivering module readiness for HAMR product qualification builds.
  • Develop a fundamental understanding of module and device physics and mechanisms.
  • Data analysis and statistical analysis (JMP/R/Python).
  • Material and feature characterisation (composition, form, dimension, interactions).
  • Defect and yield analysis.
  • Project planning and strategy.
  • Leadership of cross functional module team.
  • Engage with process SME’s and enable understanding of internal KPIV’s.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Engineering team.
  • Maximise throughput while maintaining excellent quality.
  • Ability to identify and prioritise risks to program/product intercept.
  • Ensure performance congruence in cross site products.
  • Collaborate with development teams.
  • Excellent communication to stakeholders and to leadership teams.

About you:

  • Science/Engineering Degree qualified (B.Sc., M.Sc., Ph.D), with an interest in new technologies.
  • Excellent organizational, project management and problem-solving skills.
  • Analytical thinker with excellent data analysis skills, and the ability to find breakthrough solutions to complex problems.
  • Motivated to relish working in a challenging environment with a high level of change and tight timelines.

Your experience includes:

  • Engineering/Science based technical experience, including project/process ownership.
  • Knowledge of analytical tools, data analysis, materials and device characterization.
  • Leading and contributing to high impact teams.
  • A recent track record of project delivery.

Location: Springtown, Northern Ireland

This is a Full-Time position working 39 hours per week, on-site working. This role does not meet the criteria set by the Home Office for sponsorship on a Skilled Worker Visa as such sponsorship of this visa cannot be offered.
