The Equipment Support Group (ESG) is responsible for the installation, uptime reliability and yield performance of high‑tech state‑of‑the‑art manufacturing equipment used in the cleanroom production of magnetic thin‑film heads. Core processes include photolithography, vacuum deposition/etching, electroplating and metrology, similar to semiconductor wafer fabs.
The ESG group works closely with Process, Facilities, and Reliability teams to ensure optimal equipment performance.
