The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

We are looking to recruit a full time/permanent Technical Coordinator to work within our design team. (37.5 hours per week) Depending on experience this role could be offered as a senior position. You will work within the senior project team in the planning, coordination and design functions of allocated projects from tender to post contract adding support within a very experienced office. The role will include some technical drawing duties from time to time as well as coordination of others. You will be based at our recently refurbished office in Spalding.

The Role:

  • Coordinate consultant / drawing packages for collation and delivery to construction teams in a fully complete and correct format
  • Assist and support construction site teams with any queries or technical requirement on a proactive and reactive basis
  • Produce, collate and arrange planning drawings / documentation ready for submission
  • Development and preparation of site layouts using the standard range of house types for feasibility and planning submission
  • Produce supporting documentation for planning applications
  • Preparation of Building Regulation compliance drawings & supporting information to achieve Building Regulation approval
  • Production of house type working drawings, external works and conveyancing drawings
  • Review of technical drawings and documents produced by sub-consultants
  • Managing subcontractor design approvals and ensuring a timely turnaround
  • Revise and update layouts/house type drawings as required
  • Assist in the issuing of information to site
  • Collaboratively work with other internal departments ensuring packages reach the relevant sub-contractors in a timely fashion to maintain the construction programme.
  • Involvement with developing new house type designs
  • Attendance to site progress meetings representing the technical team as required
  • Knowledge of service provider operations / provisions and coordination advantageous although not essential

The Person:

  • Must be fully proficient in AutoCAD LT
  • Must have a thorough understanding of the Building Regulations & NHBC/Premier Guarantee warranty standards
  • Full driving licence is essential.
  • A minimum of 5 GCSE's grades A-C
  • A relevant degree would be advantageous but not essential.
  • Ideally 5 years experience within the house-building industry.
  • Ideally experienced in a technical coordinator / technician / employers agent role or similar
  • Ideally qualified to HNC level or above.
  • Computer / IT literate capable of using Microsoft Office (Word & Excel)
  • Have excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Be a team player with a can-do attitude, self-motivated and confident working on own initiative.
  • Flexible and willing to get involved with a wide range of tasks.
  • Have a friendly and professional working manner
  • Self-motivated and able to work with / alongside other members of the technical team
  • Knowledge & coordination of Housing Association requirements very advantageous.
  • Preferably although not essentially able to use a 3D software / modelling / Rendering package such as SketchUp and Lumion or similar
  • Preferably although not essentially able to use Photoshop to produce house type elevations and street scenes.
