We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to lead our culinary team and deliver exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for food preparation and presentation. This role involves overseeing kitchen operations, supervising staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality are maintained at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure efficient food preparation and service
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food production, presentation, and quality control
  • Manage food safety standards in compliance with health regulations and company policies
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate kitchen staff to promote professional development and teamwork
  • Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock control to minimise waste
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment in accordance with hygiene standards
  • Assist in cooking and food preparation as needed during busy periods or special events

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a culinary role within a restaurant or hospitality setting
  • Supervising experience with the ability to manage a team effectively
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling
  • Extensive culinary experience including food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities with excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards
  • Experience in menu development, food production, and hospitality service
  • Good communication skills with the ability to motivate team members and coordinate with other departments
  • Previous experience in restaurant or catering environments is highly desirable
