We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to lead our culinary team and deliver exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for food preparation and presentation. This role involves overseeing kitchen operations, supervising staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality are maintained at all times.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure efficient food preparation and service
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food production, presentation, and quality control
- Manage food safety standards in compliance with health regulations and company policies
- Train, mentor, and evaluate kitchen staff to promote professional development and teamwork
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock control to minimise waste
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment in accordance with hygiene standards
- Assist in cooking and food preparation as needed during busy periods or special events
Requirements
- Proven experience in a culinary role within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Supervising experience with the ability to manage a team effectively
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling
- Extensive culinary experience including food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation skills
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with excellent organisational skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards
- Experience in menu development, food production, and hospitality service
- Good communication skills with the ability to motivate team members and coordinate with other departments
- Previous experience in restaurant or catering environments is highly desirable
