Key Responsibilities:

  • This role within our Youth & Family Services Department will provide services to children, adolescents, and their families.
  • This role will provide therapeutic behavioral supports, family support services, and targeted case management to eligible children and their families.
  • Services are delivered in the home, school, or community settings.
  • Family Outreach Specialists work within a team model which includes clinical managers, case managers, therapists, psychiatrists and more.
  • Family Outreach Specialists collaborate with external supports, such as school staff, community supports, DJJS/DCYF, and more.
  • Family Outreach Specialists participate in trainings, consultations, and supervision.

Job Requirements:

  • Required minimum education of a Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, human services or an equivalent.
  • Experience working with children and families or in mental health or human service settings recommended.
  • Reliable transportation required, as community-based services include transporting youth.
  • Availability for weekday evening hours required.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with internal and external supports and work within a team model.
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with youth and families.
