Analysts are responsible for supporting senior bankers and independently running selected workstreams on live projects, as well as conducting their own analytical work in support of new business development including sell-side and buy-side M&A, capital raises, valuations and other advisory assignments. Responsibilities:
- Working extensively on a broad range of cross-border M&A transactions including sell-side and buy-side projects.
- Creation of financial analyses (business plans, financial models, valuation analyses, merger modelling, synergy analysis etc.).
- Preparation of professional, accurate and impactful presentations and other written materials for both internal and external purposes (ideas and pitch development, proposals, information memorandums, teasers, management presentations etc.).
- Managing selected workstreams on live advisory engagements, working closely with senior bankers and clients.
- Supporting the Q&A and due diligence process on live projects.
- Participating in client meetings and supporting senior bankers in origination efforts.
- Conducting industry and company research and quantitative analysis.
- Execution of other responsibilities and projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 1-2 years in M&A advisory or comparable finance experience from a top-tier bank or international boutique in London.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in finance, business, engineering, mathematics or accounting from a leading university.
- Outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Strong technical foundation with excellent financial modelling skills and prior relevant experience building complex models.
- Excellent Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills.
- A career-motivated professional who is confident, self-starter, energetic, and possesses a superb work ethic able to work within a close-knit team environment and work independently.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Sets and maintains high performance standards, delivering high quality work output also when under pressure.
- Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy and completeness of work output.
- A critical yet creative thinker who can quickly and accurately evaluate and analyse information.
- Willingness to travel globally.
- Desirable, but not required: experience in and/or an affinity for the aviation or A&D industry.
