The role involves a vacancy for a Customs Clearance Clerk based at our London branch, reporting to the Operations Manager.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Preparation of customs declarations using Trader Support Service (TSS).
- Preparation of exports documentation on CDS.
- Completion of GMRs using Goods Vehicle Movement Service (GVMS).
- Completion of supplementary declarations using Trader Support Service (TSS).
- Maintain and update internal systems to support the movement of goods.
- Ensure accurate and timely lodgement of customs documentation.
- Liaise with 3rd Party Agents to obtain customs clearances.
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum 12 months experience in customs procedures both import and export.
- Able to work toward and meet deadlines.
- Computer literate.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel required.
- Possess team player qualities.
- Able to plan ahead.
- A proactive attitude.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
