JOB PURPOSE
This position sits in our Marketing & Technology service based in Manchester and London. We combine data, technology, creative content, and paid media to crack brands’ business problems & drive revenue through a variety of digital marketing solutions like ad campaigns, augmented reality, and chatbots. Our clients include ASOS, Just Eat Takeaway, Twitch, TikTok, and The White Company.
Our Paid Search (PPC) consultants team is working on helping our clients develop and grow their online businesses. We are looking for a Senior Paid Search Specialist who shares our Growth Marketing mindset and has the right experiences to match. This role requires a deep understanding of paid search, strategic planning, and a passion for driving results. The ideal candidate can manage and optimize paid search campaigns, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and provide strategic recommendations to clients. You are a critical thinker and analytical problem solver, equally curious and creative. You have a strong command of paid search platforms, such as Google Ads and Bing Ads, and can effectively communicate complex ideas to clients and internal stakeholders. You have a track record of driving results and optimizing campaigns to meet client objectives. As a key member of the team, you will contribute to the growth and success of our clients' digital campaigns. Beyond campaign execution, you play a fundamental role in driving business growth. You actively contribute to sales pitches, confidently representing our Paid Search vision and translating complex media strategies into clear, compelling narratives for potential clients. You are energised by innovation and constantly explore new ways to push boundaries, whether through emerging ad technologies, automation, or AI-driven solutions. You combine data and media insights to build smarter strategies, collaborating closely with our Data Science team to deliver innovative, AI-driven solutions to client challenges. As an advocate for innovation, you experiment, prototype, and help shape new products and opportunities, ensuring we stay ahead in a rapidly evolving landscape. Your blend of strategic thinking and technical expertise makes you a key driver of client growth and our wider commercial success.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Create valuable personal development plans together with team members and offer structural guidance to help them achieve agreed goals.
- Define expectations for the whole team and convey this effectively.
- Spot client challenges together with team members and stimulate them to work towards solutions.
- Lean into automation and use of data within campaigns, including utilising AI to improve performance.
- Monitor campaign performance, analyse data, and provide regular reports to clients, highlighting key metrics and recommendations for improvement.
- Stay informed about changes in search engine algorithms and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Drive innovation within the Paid Search team by championing new approaches, frameworks, and performance methodologies.
- Deliver compelling presentations and communicate complex concepts clearly during sales meetings and client workshops.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of campaigns and alignment with client goals.
- Work collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Extensive (at least 5 years) experience in creating, managing and optimizing paid search & shopping campaigns, preferably within a digital agency or similar environment.
- Extensive background in helping e-commerce brands thrive in a competitive digital space.
- Experience in mentoring/guiding co-workers or a team of digital specialists.
- Self-confident, competent, and empathetic appearance to convince colleagues and clients of your ideas.
- Strong knowledge of paid search platforms, such as Google Ads and Bing Ads.
- Proven track record of driving results and optimizing campaigns to meet client objectives.
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to interpret data to drive campaign optimization.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Analytical, flexible, and able to work independently.
