Contract Type: Seasonal, hourly paid, 10 hours per week with holiday cover opportunities up to 40 hrs per week to be arranged as required.
Do you enjoy working outdoors, getting stuck into practical tasks, and helping to keep a world-class attraction looking its very best? SEA LIFE Scarborough is looking for an enthusiastic Facilities Host to help maintain our stunning site and create a fantastic experience for our guests every day. No two days are the same!
You'll play a key role in keeping our attraction safe, clean, and welcoming by:
- Maintaining washrooms and guest facilities to a high standard
- Managing waste and recycling across the site
- Supporting general park upkeep and cleanliness
- Assisting with deliveries and logistics (including manual handling)
- Helping with minor repairs, remedial works, and housekeeping tasks
- Supporting the maintenance of exhibits, statuary, and site features
- Weeding, leaf litter control, and general grounds maintenance
- Keeping pathways, landscaped areas, and outdoor spaces looking their best
- Maintaining flower beds and borders
- Caring for shrubs and hedges
- Supporting irrigation systems and water management
- Assisting with water feature maintenance

Qualifications & Experience
- A hands-on, proactive approach to work
- Someone who enjoys working both indoors and outdoors in all seasons
- A great team player with a positive attitude
- Practical maintenance, groundskeeping, or facilities experience is desirable but not essential
- Comfortable carrying out physical duties, including manual handling
- Pride in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment
- COSHH and manual handling experience would be desirable
- Driving licence beneficial
