Fancy working where puffins and cheeky seals watch on as you go about your daily work? We’re looking for a customer focused, and sales driven Admissions & Retail Supervisor at the Cornish Seal sanctuary, here in Gweek! Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you’ll manage and take the lead of our front-of-house admissions and retail department. You and your team will be the first impression our guests receive when they arrive, so you’ll inspire a culture of amazing customer service, big smiles, and a friendly greeting from your team, as well as embedding an effective sales culture.
Our SEA LIFE Trust store is very much part of the immersive visitor experience therefore visual merchandising and space management within the unit will be crucial. Our sanctuary gets busy, so you’ll be managing a high volume of guests, ensuring a slick operation! With a wide range of ticket types, annual passes, promotions and other products, you’ll play a key role in driving revenue for the charity, developing product knowledge and sales skills within your team. This is a full-time, permanent role. Working any 5 days from 7, including working a regular fair share of weekends and bank holidays as required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Supervisory experience in a fast-paced customer facing environment
- Knowledge of ticketing systems and experience of merchandising, cost of sales and margin management
- An experienced leader of people (along with all that goes with that, such as recruitment, coaching and performance management)
- Have lots of experience working in a customer facing environment
- Responsible, confident, and full of initiative
