As the business enters an exciting period, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced procurement professional to join the commercial and procurement team. This is a highly visible role responsible for leading some of the organisation's most significant infrastructure procurement programmes. The position offers the chance to influence strategic sourcing decisions that directly impact critical services.
This role will suit an adaptable procurement professional who enjoys operating across varied stakeholder groups and delivering sourcing solutions for both large-scale strategic programmes and fast-moving operational requirements.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end sourcing activities across a specific infrastructure category portfolio.
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for complex service agreements.
- Lead the procurement of major maintenance contracts valued in the hundreds of millions of pounds.
- Deliver commercial value through effective negotiation, demand management and supplier engagement.
- Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across operational, engineering and leadership teams.
- Ensure procurement activity aligns with organisational governance and regulatory requirements.
Experience & Requirements
- 3-5+ years strategic sourcing and category management experience.
- Experience managing complex services, maintenance, engineering, utilities, infrastructure or operational procurement categories.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Proven ability to lead high-value sourcing and tendering programmes.
- Excellent commercial, negotiation and contract management capability.
