Location: Luton/Hybrid

Sea Global are delighted to be partnering with a leading London based Airport organisation who are looking to expand the team as the Procurement function continues to grow. They are in the final stages of building a new procurement system and are looking to add a procurement professional to support the team during this busy phase and beyond.

Reporting into the Senior Category Manager, they are looking for someone who has a few years’ experience within procurement and is comfortable running public tenders. Ideally, someone who has a range of experience across different indirect categories and they are open to people from different industries who have public or utilities contract regulations experience.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of the strategic category strategies across multiple areas of spend.
  • Support delivery of procurement and category management using best practice, sourcing and managing large tenders within regulations.
  • Negotiate prices with suppliers to generate cost savings for the business.
  • Develop and nurture relationships with internal colleagues and external suppliers.
  • Support the Senior Category Managers and Head of Procurement with ongoing projects when needed.

Experience & Requirements

  • Experience working in a procurement/buyer role across indirect categories.
  • Knowledgeable of FTS (Find a Tender Service) and Public or Utilities Contract Regulations.
  • Comfortable running tenders on their own and end-to-end procurement.
  • Should be a confident, proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
