Sea Global are delighted to be partnering with an exceptional manufacturing business who are an industry leader and household name. They are looking to add multiple Category Managers to the team during an exciting period of transformation.

The role sits within the Procurement function, which is central to driving cost efficiency, vendor performance, and end-to-end procurement. They are looking for procurement professionals that want to help drive the function forward and improve the already strong foundations through strategic category management.

You will be part of a team focused on strategic sourcing, vendor management, and internal stakeholder collaboration, reporting to or working closely with other procurement professionals and manufacturing personnel. They have multiple roles available across direct and indirect categories so whether you have raw materials, services, capex, opex, or materials experience there is a role that could be suitable for you!

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead and negotiate framework agreements ensuring cost-effective procurement.
  • Develop and execute category-specific sourcing strategies.
  • Manage tenders and solicit vendor proposals (e.g., RFI, RFP, e-sourcing).
  • Engage with internal stakeholders to align sourcing with business needs.
  • Monitor vendor performance and manage supplier relationships.
  • Help resolve contract disputes and manage price/scope changes professionally.
  • Ensure full compliance with internal procedures.

Experience & Requirements

  • Proven procurement experience (ideally in heavy manufacturing, supply chain, or services).
  • Commercial and negotiation skills.
  • Experience with vendor performance management and contract management.
  • Familiarity with strategic sourcing and tendering processes.
  • Confident communicator with strong stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • CIPS membership or qualification (desirable but not essential).
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing complex information.
