This opportunity comes at an exciting time, as the procurement function undergoes significant growth. This role will lead complex and high-value public sector regulated (PCR2015 & PA23) procurement activity across a broad range of categories and projects.
They are seeking an experienced public sector procurement professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys influencing stakeholders, and wants to contribute to building a modern, high-performing procurement function.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead on complex, high-value procurements from development through to contract award.
- Manage and lead on full end-to-end tenders.
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned to business goals.
- Provide advice on best practice compliance across Procurement Act 2023 and Public Contract Regulations 2015.
- Negotiate terms with suppliers, ensuring risk mitigation and sustainable outcomes.
- Work with internal and external suppliers and stakeholders across the business functions.
Experience & Requirements
- Experienced in end-to-end procurement and tendering.
- Highly knowledgeable of public procurement regulations (PCR15/PA23).
- Demonstrable experience of delivering above threshold procurements using available procedures.
- Can manage multiple priorities at once and has strong stakeholder management skills.
- CIPS or working towards (desirable but not essential).
