Sea Global are delighted to be working on behalf of a national organisation that supports the education and public sector, particularly schools, academies, colleges, universities, and local authorities. As an organisation, they provide framework agreements for goods and services, ensuring procurement is compliant with UK public procurement regulations.
The growing team is now looking to recruit a Procurement Specialist to join the function, supporting the Procurement Manager. The successful candidate will be based from home but will need to be in the South of England, as this is where some of the accounts are based and there will be need to travel to sites from time to time. The role will have a real focus across FM & Indirects, so experience within these categories would be preferable.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Work closely and report into the Procurement Manager.
- Run compliant tenders through various routes to market, including frameworks and Procurement Act 2023.
- Proactively work with client employees to promote procurement best practice and provide advice and support on sourcing goods and services.
- Ensure compliance with company documents, processes, and presentation standards.
- Assist in preparing paperwork for all RFQs and tenders.
Experience & Requirements:
- Experience within public sector procurement, such as PA23 or PCR 2015.
- Should come from a related background such as education, local government or non-profit.
- Will need to have experience within indirects, ideally FM and Catering.
- Relevant study would be preferable, however not at all essential.
