Sea Global are delighted to be partnering with a leading organisation within the Infrastructure and Energy sector to recruit a Category Manager – IT Procurement.

The successful candidate will lead end-to-end procurement activity, develop strategic supplier relationships, and champion procurement as a trusted business partner across the organisation. They are looking for an experienced IT procurement professional who enjoys operating in a fast-paced environment, managing complex sourcing projects, and driving continuous improvement across procurement and supplier performance.

Role & Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end procurement activity across the IT category and some wider indirect spend.
  • Develop sourcing strategies, manage competitive tender processes, negotiate commercial terms, and oversee contract award and implementation.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and procurement synergies across the wider business.
  • Build and manage strategic supplier relationships, implementing supplier development initiatives and resolving contractual or performance issues where required.
  • Support contract lifecycle management, ensuring negotiated value is successfully delivered throughout contract execution.
  • Maintain procurement systems, processes, and governance, ensuring compliance with internal policies and best practice.
Experience & Requirements
  • Proven procurement experience across IT (e.g. Software, Hardware, Network) categories, with strong knowledge of category management principles.
  • Strong commercial and contractual knowledge, including drafting, negotiating, and managing complex supplier agreements.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and influencing skills.
  • Experience delivering supplier performance improvements and managing commercial risk.
  • Experience managing multiple procurement projects simultaneously within a dynamic environment.
  • Degree qualified and/or CIPS (desirable).
