Sea Global are proud to be partnering with a well-recognised public sector Transport organisation at the forefront of the industry. They are recruiting for a Procurement Officer to join their exciting fast-paced function.
They are looking for an up-and-coming procurement professional who has a couple of years' experience in a procurement or supply chain role. This is an amazing opportunity to get involved with a leading company, where you will be working on exciting projects to help develop your procurement career and be able to get stuck in from day one.
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage and conduct low risk tender or quotation activity for goods, services, and one-off purchases
- Support end to end procurement and category management, including supporting sourcing, contracts, and supplier management
- Create Purchase Orders, process new supplier requests, and maintain accurate records for compliance
- Manage the Procurement Contracts database to ensure that contracts remain valid, and any contractual breaches are identified and resolved through the relevant escalation process
- Report into and work closely with the Category Managers and wider Procurement team
Experience & Requirements
- A level qualified or equivalent experience
- Experience working within a procurement or supply chain environment (desirable but not essential)
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and willing to take on new challenges
- Team player with the ability to work with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
