This role plays a key part in driving a positive, inclusive, and high-performing culture that reflects the brand's energy, innovation, and commitment to exceptional guest service.

Acting as both a strategic partner to leadership and a trusted advisor to our team members, the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering people initiatives that support business objectives while enhancing engagement, wellbeing, and performance across the hotel. The People & Culture Manager will champion a values-led culture, embedding initiatives that promote collaboration, diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout all departments.

They will oversee the full employee lifecycle, including leading effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent, ensuring a seamless and engaging onboarding experience, and designing learning and development programmes that support career progression and internal growth. Working closely with department heads, they will also play a crucial role in succession planning and building a strong talent pipeline.

A significant part of the role involves managing employee relations, serving as the primary point of contact for HR matters and providing expert guidance to managers on performance management, employee engagement, and conflict resolution. The role requires confidence in handling disciplinary and grievance processes, ensuring all practices are fair, consistent, and fully compliant with UK employment law.

Alongside this, the People & Culture Manager will drive performance management processes, including appraisals and goal setting, while using data and insights to continually improve employee satisfaction and retention. Operationally, the role is responsible for ensuring all HR processes run efficiently and compliantly, including maintaining accurate team member records, overseeing payroll coordination, and managing HR systems.

The successful candidate will also lead on wellbeing initiatives, promoting a supportive workplace culture and ensuring employee benefits remain competitive and meaningful. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a similar People & Culture or HR Manager role, preferably within hospitality or a lifestyle-led brand, alongside a strong understanding of UK employment legislation and HR best practices.

They will bring excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels of the organisation. A proactive, hands-on approach combined with strategic thinking is essential, as is a high level of integrity, creativity, and passion for delivering exceptional employee experiences. A CIPD Level 5 qualification or working towards is required.
