Sea Cadets is the UK’s leading maritime charity, providing a head‑start in life for young people through nautical adventure and fun. Our volunteers, including those behind the scenes, work to help make a positive difference to teenagers who are often struggling in today’s world. What difference will you make? You will play a key role in making a positive difference to teenagers who are often struggling in today’s world and their communities.
What are we looking for?
- A passion for improving the lives of young people is essential.
- You have three years or more experience in positions such as administrator or secretary, with skills or knowledge such as:
- General administration
- Good literacy
- Verbal communication skills
What will you be doing?
- The tasks of a secretary include, but are not restricted to, the following:
- Email details and agendas for UMT meetings.
- Take minutes at UMT meetings, upload them, and email to team members.
- Act as a charity trustee.
- Attend a regular UMT meeting – usually 1 hour, monthly on a weekday evening.
