A well-established privately owned freight forwarder based just outside of Southampton is looking to recruit a Freight Forwarding Coordinator to join their expanding team. If you are a self-motivated individual looking to progress your career in logistics, then this could be the role for you. A big ask but if you have multimodal experience, great – if not, don’t worry, it’s much more about you as a person, your enthusiasm and can-do attitude. This would suit someone who may have a year or 2 experience in freight or maybe working within a shipping department of a manufacturer/distributor.
The Role
- You will be primarily coordinating air & sea shipments but will also be involved in coordinating some road shipments & even cross trade cargo movements.
- You will be responsible for booking shipments with carriers, hauliers & airlines, updating systems and dealing with shipping paperwork.
