In this role you’ll be responsible for completing Customs compliance procedures, ensuring goods clear HM Revenue & Customs and the correct duties are paid, all whilst providing excellent customer service. You will be dealing with all types of cargo and various sized importers & exporters, so you need a can-do attitude and be a team player. As long as you’ve had some exposure within freight & logistics, training can be provided on various aspects of the role such as Customs compliance. It’s more about you as a person!

About the Company
Our client based in Portsmouth are growing rapidly, with a supportive management structure in place.
Working Hours & Rota
Due to the nature of this role, the successful applicant will be required to work as part of the departmental shift rota, so must be flexible in their working hours. Working hours are Monday – Friday 8.00-17.00 with the requirement to be ‘on call’ for 1 weekend in 4 between the hours of 8.00-17.00 on Saturday and 8.00-12.00 on Sunday. The successful candidate will receive a payment of £130 for being on call. There is no requirement to be logged on fully during this time, but you must attend to anything urgent that is required.
