Role

We are looking for personal assistant to help a 7 year old female enjoy social activities. Our client is looking for someone to take her swimming, to the park and to enjoy getting out and about.

Our client has ASD, ADHD and a learning disability meaning she is non-verbal. She uses a wheelchair when out and may need changed during the outing. She wears pads and would need help to get dried and changed after swimming for example. The family would like someone on a fortnightly basis but are happy to be flexible with the hours. This lovely little girl can indicate when she wants something and would benefit your support to keep her safe outside. She has no risk awareness and training will be provided on how to secure her into and out of the chair when in post.

We would ask that you write a small paragraph about yourself which will allow the family to gain a better idea of why you would like to have this post.

Applicants must have a caring attitude, have a good sense of humour, be reliable with a positive and flexible approach to work. Having experience within this area would be of benefit.

This role requires an enhanced check through PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups).
