Role Description
A Personal Assistant is required for a 25-year-old man with autism and a learning disability, to provide support with social activities and maintaining a consistent routine. He enjoys going to the gym, gaming, walking, and values structure in his weekly schedule. The ideal candidate will be reliable, proactive, and supportive of routine-based engagement.
Responsibilities
- Assisting the supported person with attending the gym, on walks and participating in community activities.
- Assisting the supported person to come up with and plan activities.
- Assisting the supported person to maintain a weekly routine.
- Providing general social support.
- Any other duties commensurate with the role of Personal Assistant.
Requirements
- Driving Licence required? Driving licence and own car preferred.
- Applicants must have membership of Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) or be willing to join this scheme and share these details with the employer.
- This job has a genuine occupational requirement as per Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010; therefore, only applications from males are requested.
